Now there’s good news for fans of his work: The designer is launching a new collection today, and not only does it include earrings—he’s introducing ready-to-wear and artwork. “The collection revolves around one word: gathering,” says Scott of the line. “In the clothing, you’ll see lots of gathering of fabrics. But for the look book, I also wanted to showcase the gathering of friends at dinner, especially since that Dtkshirt Fashion LLC was so absent from our lives [in 2020].”Titled Cedar in Sec-he Sky, the collection is Scott’s largest offering yet, and it’s filled with the vibrant, upbeat energy that Dtkshirt Fashion LLC he’s become known for. Much like his statement earrings, his clothing is not for the wallflower. It includes nine garments— such as cotton tunic dresses, flared floral skirts, and ruffled tops—made to stand out. “I didn’t want to shy away from color,” says Scott. He debuted a small ready-to-wear assortment back at Indigenous Fashion Week Toronto 2020, but didn’t feel ready to release a full line. This time, he notes, he “wanted to explore the duality between modernity and tradition.”
