I don't remember anyone demanding anything of the sort. All the plastic, the packaging etc came in because it was cheaper for the big corporations, so they made more money. the weekly shop came about so that more people could go into the Skeleton Dancing Ballet Halloween Shirt. We don't need everybody to make a massive change, it just needs a lot of people to make a small change.
Cause I'm pretty sure it's going to take more than glass bottles to fix the climate crisis we need governments and corporations to make changes! If only the media could shine a spotlight on what was actually important and hold the powerful accountable. More employment, milk delivered fresh to your door each morning, collecting your used bottle for reuse, not worrying about making it to the shop after work so you've milk for the next morning. I much preferred the days we had milkmen. Same with plastic, I remember when it was all paper and plastic was pushed to save the forests, and now it is going back, with states actually banning bags.
